Ok, I was in the middle of video documenting one of my "youngest" JK students as he was immersed in a science experiment ("How many sponges of water to fill to a 200 ml mark?). He had just asked me to read him the instructions for the experiment (Understands that print conveys a message!) when this message showed up:
UGH! I have already used all my storage? Checked my settings and realized.......I only have 16GB on this IPAD...WHAT??????? But wait, I have a dropbox account (a file hosting service with cloud storage) already so can I make that work? Here's the link for dropbox.
https://www.dropbox.com/home
I'm in the process of uploading to Dropbox and will post outcome later.
Cross your fingers.

Baseline Assessment of IPad knowledge
January 26, 2013
I interviewed 8 of my students regarding existing knowledge of IPads. The biggest surprise was that several of the kids referred to it as a Tablet. I guess I'm still old school with my Apple loyalty! None of the children told me that it could be used for photos or videos. All of them told me it was used to play games. I'm pretty excited to introduce my students to all the deeper opportunities the IPads will present.

They're in the school!

The IPads are in the school! Unfortunately, the Otterboxes have not arrived so there is no way I am putting the IPads into my kinders' gooey, little hands. I did nab one of the IPads and have started using it to document the kids playing and reading. I think it will be a great tool to share with their parents at our upcoming parent/teacher interviews.
